Meet Kristin

Kristin graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State with a B.M. in Music Therapy. Then, she attended the University of Kentucky as an Academic Fellow, and received a Masters Degree in Clarinet Performance. As a performer, Kristin plays principal clarinet with Musica Nova Orchestra and second clarinet with the Phoenix Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. As a Music Therapist, Kristin manages the Therapeutic Programs Department at an Arizona nursing home, specializing in Music Therapy and Dementia Care.

However, with the exception of developing valuable life experience, none of this has anything to do with Kristin's writing.

Kristin has been writing seriously since Spring of 2010. She has written one unpublished novel, Veto Power, and numerous short stories. She is an avid reader, especially enjoying historical fiction. Her favorite authors include Colleen McCullough, L.M. Montgomery, Wally Lamb, Edward Rutherford, and Ken Follett. Her guilty pleasures are J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer. Kristin is enthusiastic about Roman History, especially the activities of the Plebian Assembly. She also has a posthumous crush on Julius Caesar.

Kristin has been married to Kyle for seven years, and has two children: Aden and Olivia. They live in AZ. Kyle doesn't mind about Julius Caesar, at least he's never said anything.
